Katherine Heigl recently spoke out about her childhood in "a white bubble." She also shares the impact that this realization has had on the way she raises adopted children who are multi-racial. The "Firefly Lane" and "Grey's Anatomy" star shared in an interview recently that she was told that when it came to skin color -- it didn't matter to her what she wore when she was younger, but once she talked to her older sister, who was adoptive by South Korea, she realized how different society treated the two of both. Meg was asked whether the way she was treated differed in the times they went out with their parents, and the time they were on their own. She said: 'Oh Sure, I've witnessed it all and I've been there all the time! Heigl explained to Parents: "That was when I discovered how naive I resulted in me feeling." She became enraged, and she decided to use that anger to help her adopted daughters. Heigl is engaged to Josh Kelley for 13 years, have a son, Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. In 2009, they adopted Nancy Leigh (12), an adopted daughter of South Korea, and Adalaide (8, a black child) in 2012.
