Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actress who was famous for the role of Buffy Summers. Her other parts include Rebecca Becky Granger, in the telefilm Nightingales & the short lived NBC show with similar name, Erica Paget as Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. Native to CalifornianSwanson discovered her love for acting when she was a child. She was a part of the industry of advertising and appeared in a variety of commercials. In 1984, she made her debut on the screen with an episode of NBC's sitcom It's Your Move. Two years later she appeared in the romantic comedic Pretty in Pink of 1986, she made her big-screen debut. Swan, who is renowned for her breathless voice and blonde hairlisp has been playing side roles in the last several years. In 1989she was awarded the Young Artist Award for Best Young Actress in a Horror or Mystery Motion Picture for Flowers in the Attic.
