I spent months working 12 hour days sanding floors and tearing down wallpaper with one child strapped on my back while the other babies were playing into the playpen. Ha! The whole thing started to seem logical, however it was far from done. It would take money, effort, and my favorite shopping to furnish this house. To keep the budget in check, I started going to estate sales along with my three sons to find diamonds in the rough. The schedule we had for the week that included spending the week of Thursday to Saturday scouring sale houses and garages, buying old and new items. I then spent the remainder of the week working on painting and sanding the driveway. The look was a little like this... Here's where my love for restoring antique furniture started. I continued to work on furniture even after we had furnished our house. On the streets I set up a little area and then sold a few pieces. Then, I ran out of numerous pieces of furniture to fit into the room available. Over 1000 people visited my home over the course of a weekend to buy all the things on the ground. My venture Growing Days began here. In addition to my thriving company, I also started our family. I was finding that balance of having starting a business and be a mommy too. Growing Days seemed like the best fit. In 2013, my daughter Nora became our fourth child. The direction my company was heading was great, but I needed to get some down time. I decided to stop doing work on my furniture for a while and be at home with the kids. It was just what I needed. After a few minutes, my phone began ringing. They wanted my assistance in decorating as well as renovations. The majority of them walked into my house at my open house for furniture. In the following months, I began to take on clients at my own speed. Then I was able to have many clients and I was running as a home improvement business. When I first heard about my home renovation business I was astonished. As I think about the circumstances I am laughing.
