Anne Phung Nguyen

Anne Phung Nguyen, a Vietnamese American businesswoman, lives in Orange County California. I have a wonderful fiance named JP and a hapless dad Henry. A lot of people follow me on my Instagram account @annephung, where I share my life- my highs, lows and all between. My journey to America with my parents and brother in 1990 when I was one and a half years older. I wouldn't be living my life and sharing it to you, if not for the fact that my parents love determination and dedication. So that they could give their children the opportunity of a prosperous future, I focused on achieving success and put in the effort to achieve it. I believed that my life would go in a specific way: graduate from university, be offered an executive position, get married and start with a family. My life that I planned to live was not as was what it ended up being. My job at a company in 2013 was something I dreaded. Status and money didn't bring me happiness. I believed that I wasted my day to pay a salary. While I was looking for a new career path I found that I enjoyed doing fitness. I also loved socializing and helping other people. The year 2014 was the year I began my own business, and in the year in 2021, I'll be celebrating my 7th anniversary. It is rare to find Asian females working in the field. My goal is to make a difference within the field to offer expert coaching for others to become a healthier and happier by designing a sustainable lifestyle cater to the individual needs and desires. Additionally, I want to encourage others to go after their dreams and do anything and everything they want to achieve in their lives. In the midst of my job taking off, I was struck by one of the biggest losses in my life- the passing of my Mom. Her battle with Scleroderma for eight years was over, and she now rests in Heaven. She will always remain in my heart and mind. Even if you can't see it at first, life can be a bit elusive in giving us what we really require. The death of my mother affected me greatly and I believe she gave me a second chance in life. In the morning of Tet/Lunar New Year Day, she died. Now it was time for her to transition to her next chapter and my chance to live an authentic and satisfying life. Now in my 30s I feel a sense of living and feeling alive. I'm no longer feeling as if that I'm just a mere existence anymore. By sharing my experiences I hope that my personal experiences can resonate with the ones you have. I hope that my words can help anyone realize that they're not all on your own. It is my hope that you will have the ability to achieve anything that your heart desires. My prayer is to live your life fully and that you die without regrets since that's the only thing that we can count on in this existence.
